About Hurtado Designs

Hurtado Designs is a company that was founded by Andrea Lugo-Hurtado in 2006. It is based in New York City.

Andrea Lugo-Hurtado by trade is an interior architect/designer in New York City. After her graduation at the University of Florida she moved to NYC in 1999 to pursue her design career.

Andrea is a native Colombian but has had the privilege to live in Europe, South America and the United States. During her life she has embraced all sorts of cultures yet always maintaining a strong identity, if you know her you will agree.

Although she loves her career in design, her true passion is Fashion. Her main focus is jewelry design. Her one-of-a-kind creations have created quite a buzz in the design community.

She started making pieces for herself, and then it developed into making pieces for her family and friends. After it became so demanding she launched her company and starting doing shows all over the United States: Palm Beach, FL, Atlanta, GA, and San Juan, PR. She plans to also expand and do shows and Colombia and Guatemala.

Her influences and inspirations come from many places: fashion, art, architecture and her travels. All the pieces are unique in style, textures, and color combinations. She also likes to play with different scales yet combining simple shapes. As you see her collections you will see she really focuses on quality, using nothing but the best of materials.

She will customize any piece for you at your request. She hopes any piece you purchase from her collections will bring you nothing but happiness.
